To become a CCA, you must write and pass two exams, the Atlantic Provinces (local) and the International. In preparation for the exams, you should review the Atlantic Provinces Certified Crop Advisors Performance Objectives and the Atlantic Provinces Certified Crop Advisers Study Guide. You should review the International performance objectives and the International Study guide when preparing for the International exam.
Exams can be taken four times during the year. Registration dates are listed for each of the exam dates for the exams. For example, if you want to take your exam in the February 5 - 19, 2025 exam period you would register in the January 2 - 27, 2025 period.

To become a CCA with a degree, you need two years of experience, three years of experience with a diploma, and four years of experience with high school. At least 50% of the required experience must come from North America, and the degree/diploma must be agriculture-based.
After passing both exams, the CCA head office in Madison, WI will send you a link to the Certified Crop Certification booklet which outlines the steps to complete your certification.
